Movie Comrades,
In a low turnout week we watched a surprisingly good movie, Hardcore Henry. For a gimmick movie it worked really well and had a pretty decent plot.
For the first hour it was realistic and almost ‘real time’ in the fights and because of the POV gimmick they really had to plan out the path of the fight. There wasn’t that moment where you thought, there’s no way they could have gotten downstairs before that car took off (I’m looking at you Action Jackson). The end went a little ‘video gamey’, but there weren’t any sections where you could get bored. An exciting pick.
Thanks Goins!
This week Suleman is back from the lake and he’s going to pick another action movie for ‘Action August’… or possibly ‘Explosugust!’.
His pick (so far) is the recent Punisher: War Zone. There seems to be a bunch of streams available.

Hardcore Henry (Russian: Хардкор; also known simply as Hardcore in some countries)[5] is a 2015 Russian-American science fiction action film written and directed by Ilya Naishuller (in his feature directorial debut), and produced by Timur Bekmambetov, Naishuller, Inga Vainshtein Smith, and Ekaterina Kononenko. Will Stewart provided additional writing for the film.
It stars Sharlto Copley, Danila Kozlovsky, Haley Bennett, and Tim Roth. The film was released theatrically in the United States by STXfilms on April 8, 2016, received mixed reviews from critics and grossed $16.8 million worldwide. Despite this, it was deemed a box-office bomb, due to STX spending $10 million to acquire global rights to the film.[6]
