Movie Marauders,
Last week we watched another one of those new ‘Good Bad’ style movies in the vein of the immortal classic “Manborg”. But this one had what that was missing… what that useless kid from Captain planet also had… HEART. It was weird how much I actually cared about this weird bmx kid and his (spoiler) robot girlfriend. It was a little weirdly gross at parts but at least it stayed consistent through the whole movie.
This week I think it’s my choice. I’ve been listening to a lot of “The Flophouse” podcast and in honor of that I’m going to pick “Castle Freak” since I can’t wait till Shocktober to pick a horror movie. I thought about “The FP” but the time is not right…

Maybe we should start running double features starting earlier? or ‘GASP’ have a second night during the week/weekend?

Turbo Kid is a 2015 Canadian comedy film written and directed by François Simard, Anouk Whissell, and Yoann-Karl Whissell. The film stars Munro Chambers, Laurence Leboeuf, Michael Ironside, Edwin Wright, Aaron Jeffery, and Romano Orzari. The film follows the adventures of The Kid, a teenage comic book fan turned superhero in the "Wastelands", an alternate 1997 post-apocalyptic Earth where water is scarce. He teams up with a mysterious girl named Apple and an arm-wrestling cowboy named Frederick to stop the tyrannical warlord Zeus. Epic Pictures Group released the film in the United States on August 28.
