Don’t tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead

This movie is a staple of VHS childhoods. I believe it was almost sold almost entirely on the line “The dishes are done man!” from the trailer. But will it hold up to the strict standards of the 2 Dads?

This movie might not hold up to strict movie logic, there are some weak plot points where we just have to go along with it. There are the requisite 80’s cliche characters, but the performances (mostly of the younger cast) give the movie so much heart that we just go along with it. We go along with it so hard that we believe that these kids can pull off a fashion show in the end and create new designs out of uniforms that they set a new fashion trend and save the factory.

Its a huge nostalgia hit for the early 90’s, the music is great the fashion is loud and incredible. Its got young people working together to fool the adults, its got slackers getting their shit together and its got Christina Aguilera Applegate!
