#4 – Manborg

Gentlemen,
It’s that time again. That time of the week when your inbox gets flooded with emails about shitty movies and pork chop sandwiches. We had a great turn out last week, I think at one point we had 7 people online. Unfortunately they turned out for… Manborg.

Manborg, judging by the ratings I’m the only one that found any joy in this terrible-on-purpose sci-fi masterpiece. Mostly because i can’t get enough of #1 man. We learned that future nazi vampires can fall in love and that having an ultimate fighting league where you can just bring in any weapon you want seems like a bad idea. I liked it… which is bad news for you all because I’ve seen the movie that Suleman picked this week 5 times.

We will be watching the 2003 Tommy Wiseau masterwork “The Room”. This romantic relationship thriller is widely considered one of the ‘best worst movies’ ever. A little backstory wont hurt your enjoyment. Wiseau a mysterious vampire like person of vauge eastern european origin, he somehow convinced someone to give him 6 million dollars to film his own screenplay. Which he would star in, direct, produce, edit himself. Apparently without any prior knowledge of how to make a movie. The movie stars acting class dropouts, unnecessary green screen shots, and Tommy introducing every character as they walk into every scene backed by so many stock shots of San Francisco. The making of the movie is documented in the book “The Disaster Artist” soon to be a movie starring James and Dave Franco… I AM NOT FUCKING KIDDING.

I’ll admit there were some funny lines. I changed my rating to 1.5.
