#5 – The Room

OH HAI GUYS!

So we did it last week, we watched the oscar nominated movie Room… Wait, what’s that? We did not? Oh, thats right, we watched THE Room. Which was predictably amazing in it’s terrible dialog and ‘alien in a human suit’ acting in which there is a 20 minute stretch to start the film that has 3 unforgettable sex scenes. and important plot points like “I HAVE CANCER” and “MY BROTHER WANTS ME TO SELL THE HOUSE” that are so very important to the plot… Trust me this movie only gets better with more watches.

This week is Chris Goins choice, he originally chose Kentucky Fried Movie, which would have been a great choice. But then a wildcard became available, so we will be watching the 1977 movie “Petey Wheatstraw: The Devils Son-In-Law”… will it continue our tradition of excellence?
Only you can find out at 8:30 TONIGHT

I probably enjoyed The Room more than I’d care to admit.

Chris

The Room is a 2003 American romanticdrama film written, produced, and directed by Tommy Wiseau, who stars in the film alongside Juliette Danielle and Greg Sestero. The film centers on a melodramaticlove triangle between amiable banker Johnny (Wiseau), his deceptive fiancée Lisa (Danielle), and his conflicted best friend Mark (Sestero). A significant portion of the film is dedicated to a series of unrelated subplots, most of which involve at least one supporting character and are left unresolved due to the film's inconsistent narrative structure. The work was reportedly intended to be semi-autobiographical in nature; according to Wiseau, the title alludes to the potential of a room to be the site of both good and bad events.[4] The stage play from which the film is derived was so-called due to its events taking place entirely in a single room.[5]
