Movie Knights, Last week we journeyed back to the magical low budget time called the 70’s to watch a movie that we all kind of remember but probably wish now that we didn’t. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.
It was a simpler time when they thought it was funny to insert a random musical number in the movie or stretch a small joke so long that you forget what the joke was in the first place. So basically this is 70’s Family Guy. This was a mostly boring 70’s ‘cult classic’ that we all can now say that we have watched.

New Business: This week is Suleman’s turn to pick, he has challenged us to watch Tiptoes (2003) starring a legitimately good cast. The twist is that Gary Oldman plays a dwarf, was this a smart movie back in 2003? who knows. Unless he changes his mind, god help us all.
I love the sheer joy in my face on the screen shot in the war room when we are first introduced to the dub voice.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is a 1978 American parody film[2] produced by J. Stephen Peace and John DeBello, and directed by John DeBello based upon an original idea by Costa Dillon. The screenplay was written by Dillon, Peace, and DeBello. The film is a spoof of B movies. Made on a budget less than US$ 100,000 the story involves tomatoes becoming sentient by unknown means and revolting against humanity.
The box office success of the film led to three sequels, all co-written by the same three writers and directed by DeBello.
