Another case of a movie that one of us watched when they were a kid and the other host had never seen it. It’s always a good time to discover a lost classic of the 1980’s… is that what happens here or is this a bummer? Find out more inside!
This movie is a good example of “almost working” its a pretty good movie, there are some parts that are genuinely exciting, but overall it’s trapped by the limitations of the special effects of the time it was made. The acting is good, the side characters are memorable watching it 40 years later you have a hard time connecting with the rubber puppet. Plus you’re constantly trying to figure out how they didn’t kill a stunt guy inside that suit in the middle of Africa.
But we had a great time talking about it! I think this is one of our more fun conversations! Thanks the “the Listener” for checking this one out.
Later Dads!
If it were my wife; I’d whip the bitch.
