Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins, also released as Remo: Unarmed and Dangerous, is a 1985 American action–adventure film directed by Guy Hamilton. The film featured Fred Ward, Joel Grey, J. A. Preston, Wilford Brimley, and Kate Mulgrew. The character is based on The Destroyer pulp paperback series. The movie was the only adaptation featuring the character Remo Williams, and fared poorly in theaters. The Last American Virgin is a 1982 American sex comedy film written and directed by Boaz Davidson. Hot Dog…The Movie is a teen sex comedy ski film released in January 1984. The film went on to gross over $17 million. The film stars Patrick Houser as Harkin Banks, a young and ambitious freestyle skier from Idaho who is determined to prove himself in a freestyle skiing competition at Squaw Valley. Along the way he teams with a pack of fun-loving incorrigibles who called themselves the “Rat Pack” (whose leader, Dan O’Callahan is played by David Naughton), picks up an Austrian nemesis named Rudi (John Patrick Reger), and enters a love triangle with a pair of blondes, a young woman named Sunny (Tracy N. Smith) and the more mature Sylvia Fonda (played by 1982 Playboy Playmate of the Year Shannon Tweed in just her second major film role). The movie ends with an extended race scene, all of the characters take part in a “Chinese Downhill” race to determine the real champion of the competition.

In some international locations the film was released under the title Breakdance 2: Electric Boogaloo. Another sequel, Rappin’ (also known as Breakdance 3: Electric Boogalee) was made but had an unconnected plot and different lead characters – only Ice-T features in all three films.

Bad Santa is a 2003 American Christmas black comedy film directed by Terry Zwigoff and written by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. It stars Billy Bob Thornton, Tony Cox, Lauren Graham, Brett Kelly, Lauren Tom, John Ritter, and Bernie Mac. It was Ritter’s last live-action film appearance before his death on September 11, 2003 (his remaining final films, Clifford’s Really Big Movie and Stanley’s Dinosaur Round-Up, were animated films); the film was dedicated to his memory. Survive Style 5+ is a 2004 Japanese film directed by Gen Sekiguchi and produced by Hiroyuki Taniguchi.[1] It stars Tadanobu Asano, Kyōko Koizumi, Reika Hashimoto, Jai West, Sonny Chiba and Vinnie Jones. The film follows five simultaneous, loosely linked plot lines, that intertwine and scramble together. A man (Tadanobu Asano) keeps killing his wife (Reika Hashimoto) and burying her in the woods only to find her alive, furious, and waiting for him when he returns home. A suburban family’s life is disrupted when the father (Ittoku Kishibe) is permanently hypnotized into believing he is a bird and tries to learn how to fly. A trio of aimless youth pass time by burgling houses. A murderous advertising executive (Kyōko Koizumi) tries to imagine ideas for commercials. The stories clash together through the intervention of a thuggish hitman (Vinnie Jones) and his translator (Yoshiyoshi Arakawa).

Forbidden World, originally titled Mutant, is a 1982 American science fiction–horror film. The screenplay was written by Tim Curnen, from a screenstory by R.J. Robertson and Jim Wynorski. It was co-edited and directed by Allan Holzman, who had edited Battle Beyond the Stars two years earlier. The cast includes Jesse Vint, Dawn Dunlap, June Chadwick, Linden Chiles, Fox Harris and Michael Bowen. Forbidden World has also been released under the titles Mutant and Subject 20.[2] The film received three nominations for the 1983 Saturn Awards: Best Low Budget Film, Best Make-up and Best Special Effects. It was generally panned by critics as a cheap, exploitative imitation of the movie Alien, with sex, nudity, uneven editing, cheap special effects, and an audio track that some found unpleasant. It is frequently paired with and compared to the previous year’s Corman-produced Alien rip-off Galaxy of Terror, with which Forbidden World shares some of the same sets (designed by James Cameron). Robot Jox is a 1990 American post-apocalyptic science-fiction film directed by Stuart Gordon and starring Gary Graham, Anne-Marie Johnson and Paul Koslo. Co-written by science-fiction author Joe Haldeman, the film’s plot follows Achilles, one of the “robot jox” who pilot giant machines that fight international battles to settle territorial disputes in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world. After producer Charles Band approved Gordon’s initial concept, the director approached Haldeman to write the script. Gordon and Haldeman clashed frequently over the film’s tone and intended audience. Principal photography finished in Rome in 1987, but the bankruptcy of Band’s Empire Pictures delayed the film’s release in theaters until 1990. It earned $1,272,977 in domestic theatrical gross, failing to return its production cost. Robot Jox received negative critical response and little audience attention upon its first theatrical run, but it has recently attracted some critical praise. Zombies!!) is a 2007 zombie comedy film directed by Matthew Kohnen and starring Matthew Davis, Julianna Robinson, and Michael Grant Terry.[1] The events of the plot take place from the zombies’ point of view. The film uses color footage to show the action from the zombies point of view in which they see themselves as normal humans and occasionally switches to black-and-white footage to show the zombies from the point of view of normal humans.

Megaforce (or MegaForce) is a 1982 action film directed by former stuntman Hal Needham and written by James Whittaker, Albert S. Ruddy, Hal Needham and André Morgan based on a story by Robert S. Kachler. The film starred Barry Bostwick, Persis Khambatta, Michael Beck, Edward Mulhare, George Furth, Evan C. Kim, Ralph Wilcox, Robert Fuller and Henry Silva. The film was poorly received by critics, bombed at the box office and was nominated for three Golden Raspberry Awards, including Worst Picture.

Castle Freak is a 1995 American direct-to-video horror film directed by Stuart Gordon. The film stars Jeffrey Combs who portrays John Reilly, an American recovering alcoholic who inherits an Italian castle when a distant relative passes away. John travels to Italy with his estranged wife Susan (Barbara Crampton) and blind daughter Rebecca (Jessica Dollarhide). The three plan to stay at the castle, but unbeknownst to them, a freakish monster locked away in the basement of the castle is about to escape and commit a series of murders. The police place John as the prime suspect, leading him to confront his alcoholism, fight the demon and prove himself innocent. Turbo Kid is a 2015 Canadian comedy film written and directed by François Simard, Anouk Whissell, and Yoann-Karl Whissell. The film stars Munro Chambers, Laurence Leboeuf, Michael Ironside, Edwin Wright, Aaron Jeffery, and Romano Orzari. The film follows the adventures of The Kid, a teenage comic book fan turned superhero in the “Wastelands”, an alternate 1997 post-apocalyptic Earth where water is scarce. He teams up with a mysterious girl named Apple and an arm-wrestling cowboy named Frederick to stop the tyrannical warlord Zeus. Nacho Libre is a 2006 sports comedy-drama film directed by Jared Hess and written by Jared and Jerusha Hess and Mike White. It stars Jack Black as Ignacio, a Catholic monk and lucha libre fan who secretly moonlights as a luchador to earn money for the orphanage where he works by day as a cook, knowing his fellow monks would look down upon his career and expel him if they discover it. He finds his ascetic, celibate lifestyle challenged even further when he falls in love with a nun who has just arrived to live in the monastery. The film is loosely based on the story of Fray Tormenta (“Friar Storm”, a.k.a. Rev. Sergio Gutiérrez Benítez), a real-life Mexican Catholic priest who had a 23-year career as a masked luchador and competed in order to support the orphanage he directed. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is a 1978 American parody film[2] produced by J. Stephen Peace and John DeBello, and directed by John DeBello based upon an original idea by Costa Dillon. The screenplay was written by Dillon, Peace, and DeBello. The film is a spoof of B movies. Made on a budget less than US$ 100,000 the story involves tomatoes becoming sentient by unknown means and revolting against humanity. The box office success of the film led to three sequels, all co-written by the same three writers and directed by DeBello.

The film’s theme was influenced by the popularity of Disney‘s 1982 film Tron and the roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons. Principal photography began in 1983 but the film was not completed until 1984. The film features an appearance by the heavy metal band W.A.S.P.. Kung Pow! Enter the Fist is a 2002 American martial arts comedy film that parodies Hong Kong action cinema. Written, directed by and starring Steve Oedekerk, it uses footage from the 1976 Hong Kong martial arts film Tiger & Crane Fists (also called Savage Killers), along with new footage shot by Oedekerk, to create an original, unrelated plot. The film was a moderate box office success, grossing $17 million worldwide, and received largely negative critical reviews but has since become a cult film. Tiptoes (also known as Tiny Tiptoes) is a 2003 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Matthew Bright, in what is, to date, his last film.[1] The film stars Gary Oldman, Kate Beckinsale, Patricia Arquette and Matthew McConaughey. The film’s plot revolves around an average-sized man (McConaughey) who struggles with revealing to his pregnant fiancée (Beckinsale) that his entire family are little people, as he worries that their unborn child may be born with dwarfism. The film attracted controversy for the casting of non-dwarf actor Gary Oldman as a dwarf, especially in contrast with the presence of actual dwarf actor Peter Dinklage, who some have suggested would have been better suited for Oldman’s role.[1][3] Oldman is also 11 years older than McConaughey, despite playing his twin brother.[3] The film debuted in a 150 minute director’s cut at Harry Knowles‘ Butt-Numb-A-Thon film festival.[2][3] Bright was fired from the film during post-production, and subsequently had his screenwriting credit removed, after the film was re-edited without his involvement.[1] The 90 minute producers’ cut screened

Miami Connection is a 1987 independent martial arts film starring Y.K. Kim, who also wrote and produced the feature. Originally, the film was critically maligned and received poor box office return upon release. It remained unseen for decades until Drafthouse Films restored the film for a proper release in 2012. The film was released on DVD, Blu-ray, limited-edition VHS, and various digital download options on December 11, 2012. Since then, the film has been better received by audiences and has garnered a cult following.

Totally Awesome is a television film produced by VH1. Totally Awesome directly parodies a number of 1980s movies, including Dirty Dancing, Soul Man, Footloose, Some Kind of Wonderful, Sixteen Candles, Teen Wolf, Better Off Dead, Lucas, Pretty in Pink, and The Karate Kid. The film premiered on November 4, 2006, on VH1, and was broadcast to promote the film’s DVD release on November 7.
